This morning we teed off with Kids On The Go at Chandler Park Golf Course in Detroit, MI for their last day of KOTG Golf Academy.
Kids On The Go is a pediatric non-profit program designed to provide special needs children (3-17 years) with physical, occupational, speech, and recreational therapies both over the summer months and during the school year.
Kristy Schena, the founder of Kids On The Go, introduced us to her golf academy participants: Michael Banaszewski, Austin LeBlanc, and Anna Dearhamer, as well as their supporting parents who cheered them on at each hole. The players' parents explained how they enjoyed participating in the golf academy summer camp because it’s allowed their kids to learn new things, build new friendships, create a sense of camaraderie between each other, as well as being a fun activity to do out of the house during summer break!
We are so happy we got to see the players out on the course for their last day! Thank you to Kristy Schena and all of the Kids On The Go participants for allowing us to share this exemplary program with the community.
